Arleu Júnior

I am in the final year of my Agronomy degree at the Federal University of Viçosa. Throughout my academic and professional experience, the importance of collecting, organizing, and interpreting data has become clear. Precision agriculture shows how information from different sources can be combined to monitor crops and support management decisions.

The connection between technology and operations showed me how programming can improve processes. I became interested in solutions that integrate data, automate routines, and reduce manual work, especially in processes that depend on multiple records, checks, and manual updates.

I currently build projects with Python, FastAPI, SQL, and PostgreSQL, while also using Docker, Git, automated tests, and continuous integration. I have focused my studies on backend development, REST APIs, relational data modeling, and data processing.

I am seeking an internship or junior position in backend development or data, in an environment with deadlines, deliverables, and technical review. I want to apply what I have been building to systems used by other people and expand my professional experience in the field.

AgriSentry — Ecosystem

An evolving ecosystem connecting field devices, telemetry ingestion, monitoring and automation, and assembly documentation — from the physical sensor to the application.

  • AgriSentry Platform: application for IoT monitoring and automation in agricultural environments.
  • Device: MicroPython firmware for ESP32, sensors, MQTT telemetry, durable sequencing, and offline cache with replay after reconnection.
  • IoT Gateway: Rust gateway for MQTT/HTTP ingestion, event validation, and PostgreSQL telemetry persistence.
  • Assembly Docs: turns a text-based assembly specification into validated connections, visual documentation, and test firmware for the hardware.
